Highly disappointing. I was suggested this by the hotel concierge who also recommended another wonderful place but this place is just bad. The food was literally disgusting. Look through my reviews and you will see I rarely complain about bad food. The service was fine, a young student who had helped us out and was very friendly but the food oh my god yucky. We had ordered the combo platter with salad bars. The meal started with the salad bar and we found hair in the cucumbers. While not that this is their fault i mean just gross. The soup continued the meal which was fine until we found ANOTHER HAIR in the soup! Strike 2. The BBQ was completely flavorless and bland. How BBQ is flavorless and bland is completely beyond me but this was. I was skeptical of the yelp reviews but read through them, its just all true unfortunately.

The best smoked chicken and baby back ribs ever a casual honky Tonk vibe with great music on the weekends with room to dance. . Also great to pick up take out for a picnic or parties

Porky's used to be fun, I don't know what happened, but it just doesn't seem the same. I've been to Marco island 10 times in 8 years, and always had good food and good times 'at Porky's. This year, it was dead, food not great, and staff seemed like they couldnt care less if you were happy or not. There were little kids in the bar area on a Friday night, in fact, more kids on the dance floor than adults. I felt like I was at a bad wedding reception. I'm done with Porky's, sorry to see a good place go downhill so much. Go to CJ's on the Bay, fun times there, great happy hour, and good food!

We had a party of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids. The waiter was nice to offer to only charge us $1.89 for the salad bar for our small kids instead of $7.99 since the kids meals were $6.99. The salad bar was good. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was fatty and not very flavorful compared to what I am used to in GA. Overall as my wife says, "it gets the job done".

This was the best casual dinner I had with my family while on vacation... loved it. The servers were friendly and accommodating considering my 2 year old was acting up. BBQ was really good and very tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids.

Porkys was very busy. We were just visiting the island & thought that if the locals were eating dinner there it must be good barbecue. We thought wrong. The barbecued pork had a greasy flavorless sauce. My snapper, a special, was so dried out & tough that I couldn't cut it with a sharp knife. The salad bar looked like the most promising choice. A fellow diner loved the clam chowder. All in all, skip this place & eat leftovers from a better restaurant

Food was just ok. Really poor service experience. We tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We should have checked Yelp before visiting. I'm sure there is better BBQ in the Marco/Naples area.

Huge portions, great service, low prices......a must visit!

Went back for the spareribs......awesome! Smoky, tender, and large. Added onion rings (some of the best we've had) and slaw which had a good vinegar base that went well with the ribs. Prompt, friendly service, and a southern Bar BQ joint feel make this a place for repeat visits.

We were here for a large birthday party. The service was friendly, efficient and really accommodating to the large party. We have been here several times before with friends and family. The salad bar is decent but I find the ribs and pulled pork bland lately; burgers and fish are decent.

Porky's has changed owners and chef since my last review. The changes have been for the better. The baby back ribs and St. Louis style ribs are very good indeed and the salad bar is fresher and replenished more frequently than previously. I do miss the smoked chicken salad that used to grace the salad bar. We'll have to go back to try the other menu items, but I am optimistic and recommend the new Porky's.

Baby back ribs were terrific...slipped off the bone. Very tender. Waiter, Tony, was friendly and attentive. Very casual. Karaoke going on in their side room. Definitely a local hang out. Not pretentious, just friendly. Decor is dated.

Food was disappointing. We can get better seafood in the Midwest. Ahi Tuna was good but there was no sauce....the cod, scallops and shrimp on the Captains Plate (24.99) were squishy and really stinky fishy. BBQ pork was dry. Hamburger was good. Piña coladas were 7.50 and tiny. Just not coming back.

Good place to have an ice cold beer and watch the game. It's a bar with bar food. Don't confuse it with anything else. Helpful staff is on the ball and they have personality. What more can you ask for? Set proper expectations and you won't be disappointed. Tourists fair warning. Good drinks too!

A trip to Porky's is, for me, an anthropologically interesting experience... and also an unavoidable occurrence when visiting family in the area. On any given night you're going to find a mix of straight-up-redneck to semi-classy 50-plus'ers with a scattering of family types. The music will be bad in a comical sort of way. As an example, last night there was a lounge singer (who probably tried and didn't quite make it in Vegas) performing wedding classics such as "Sweet Caroline". Basically if you get yourself a pitcher of brew and go with it you'll have a good time in an ironic kind of way. Do's and Do Not's: - Do not expect an elevated culinary experience - Do expect to encounter swamp specials like alligator on the menu - Do expect live entertainment in the bar - Do not expect big city quality live entertainment - Do not expect to see many below below the age of 50 - Do expect to see people over the age of 50 letting it all hang out All kidding aside... the food here is generally consistent and the service is friendly. As a vegetarian, options are limited, but between the salad bar and french fries I get by just fine. Porky's is exactly what it is... and it's not trying to be anything else.

If it weren't for our hotel front desk agent we would of never came across this great BBQ spot. We were originally heading to Michelbob but they closed for renovations and we really wanted BBQ. My boyfriend & I are glad we didn't Yelp porky's because the reviews are horrible and we would of never came. But on the contrary the food was delicious. We came in around 7:30pm and there were about 7 other tables with other diners. It wasn't full compared to how big the place is. Not knowing what to choose we went with the hungry plate that included there BBQ dishes: baby back ribs, spare ribs, half chicken, sliced pork and meat brisket. It also comes with Texas toast and 2 sides per person. We had the sweet potato fries and baked beans. Our server was very attentive and nice. After our meal we played a couple of rounds of pool to end our night. Definitely a great place to dine, drink & play pool all in one place.

Given the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. Sometimes it is good to try these places again to see if they improved. I ordered the pulled pork platter with French fries and cole slaw. The pulled pork was great and there are three BBQ sauces at your table to use as you like. Honey, smoked, and their regular sauce. I liked all of them. The fries were hot and crispy and the cole slaw was cold and crunchy. The service was fast, friendly, and clean. Overall a very good experience.

Ribs sauce tastes like ketchup. Corn muffins taste like they are from a box. Salad bar is ok but plates were warm. Waiter was dripping sweat. Frog legs were fishy.

Whoa, not a place that I will return to anytime soon. Went there for dinner on a Friday night. However, the salad bar was not maintained, and there were no bowls left at the soup area of the salad bar. There was also no soup left to match the missing bowls. Asked the staff twice for more bowls for the bar, but they returned with THREE bowls....hmmmm. The restaurant is very busy, and you bring out three bowls for your soup bar. For tourists, this is a place that is okay if you want to put up with a long line at the salad bar, but they don't have a staff that can handle the crowd here. I felt the grouper was overdone, and the waitress was lovely about how everything was going, but the staff overall seemed overwhelmed by the crowd here.

We liked it. Good ribs and burgers. If you like that food, dont be afraid to go. Enough said.

Worst service we have ever had. Our waitress didn't care to ask if we needed refills or if our food was ok (Which it wasn't). The food was bland and taisted like it was cooked in muddy water. We will never eat here again.

This was the worst BBQ we have ever had! My husband ate one rib and left his entire meal. The food was cold and tasteless. The waiter asked if we wanted a takeout box. When we said it was not good at all, he just shrugged his shoulders and took the plate. Unbelievable!

We were so dissapointed. We come down to Marco Island every year and one of our favorite spots to have a meal at is 'Porky's last stand' and the 1st thing we noticed was that the sign had been changed to 'Porkys' and no red Corvette out front.( you see , every year we come down we're used to seeing a red corvette parked out front) and today we didn't see the corvette, & along with the new sign & lots of parking we thought hmmmm thtats odd, this place is always packed. So now we go into the restaurant, are greeted by no one and the place has maybe 1 table with a party of 8 elderly people out having dinner. We sit down, notice the menu is different and without anymore thought we order. I opted for the beef brisket (don't order it! -it had no flavor, was not obviously cooked like the traditional brisket, and was horrible) I left it and could not eat it. The salad bar was not stocked like we are used to- and remember, we come down once a year and we noticed the difference. The other people in our party ordered sandwiches and noticed that there was a philly steak sandwich on the menu( hmmmm philly steak sandwich? at porkys last stand? oooops i meant porkys.... exactly!! After paying our bill we ran for the exits. but before exiting we went to wash our hands and noticed a local newspaper article on the wall telling its readers about new ownership and mgmt. and thats when everything was made clear to us. The article (dated July 2 of this year tells how a husband and wife from Philadelphia ( explains the philly cheese Steak) purchased the restaurant and how they wanted to make everyone feel like family (never felt like family to us!) The article tells how "Porkys last Stand" was still in Naples at Golden Gate ( there were always 2, one in Marco and the other in Naples) so that explains it. The waiter told us that general mgr. who was the owner of the corvette moved over to the Naples location when the restaurant was sold and that the chef went to that location just recently. ( explains the less than favorable food) I gave it 2 stars because we went there expecting the great tasting BBQ that has made Porkys last stand what it was, so at least we walked in. Other than that we would have never gone in knowing what we were about to walk into. Sadly, we will never go to Porkys. How do you think a restaurant will be as good as its previous owner unless the new owners are there to overlook operations? the service and quality of food has gone down as quickly as the changing of the guard. I guess the one night we opt to go to Porky's last stand will now serve as a trip to Naples to eat at one of our favorite locations except it will no longer be in Marco Island. This place will be lucky to still be open in a year from now ....... Good luck new owners but we will be staying loyal to Porkys last Stand in Naples.

Our party of 7 (3 kids ages 2,7,9) ordered fried shrimp baskets, smoked pork plate, chopped and sauced pork and a smoked pork sandwich. We ordered the salad bar as one of the sides. Salad bar had mixed salad greens, peppers (red and green), celery, carrots, onions, tomatoes, cheese, pasta salad (good) and potato salad (exceptionally good) and a few other items I don't remember. Our server had quite a few tables, but he was courteous and attentive. I would definitely return this vacation stay and/or in the future.

We have been coming to MI for 5 yrs, staying right down the street, but had never been to Porkys. Heard great things about it in the past, but apparently that was the "old" Porky's. The "New Porkys" (new management) was a real disappointment. Went on a Sunday afternoon....the hostess couldn't tell us if they had Happy Hour on Sundays, but she thought not. We convinced her to ask, and, what do you know, they did. The only good thing about the meal...cheap drinks. We had the pulled pork...totally tasteless so you had to use one of the sauces provided. None of them were that great. Fries (regular and sweet potato) were limp and soggy. One of our group had the ribs, which also lacked taste. Bones were tiny and meat was sparse. Salad bar was a converted John Deere manure spreader, and had very few appetizing selections. Given the reputation of the place it was very uncrowded. Apparently the word is out.

Were do I start! The food(Everglades Combo) was bland I mean who doesn't use salt and pepper(which they did not)DUH! The only reason why I gave the review a 3 was because the gator was good and the food was perfectly cooked. Salad bar was basic, ha! the soup needed salt and flavour. $47.35 Plus the wife had ribs which they were ok. Hehe... One of there sweet and sour or spice sauce tasted like McDonald's special dipping sauce(sweet&sour)for nuggets. I HAVE DEPRESSED MYSELF :-(

Porkys used to be a great place, then it got sold and the new owner made his changes and many of them are not good. I used to order the smoked chicken and get all white meat but the new owner stopped that. ( I wouldnt mind if he did it and had a small charge) He then got rid of the more expensive bands for cheaper ones its not the same anymore. I can wait until he sells the business ( I'm sure he will have to sell soon because he is running the business into the ground). I doubt if he reads any of the reviews if he did he would bring back some of the old services that made this a good resturant

Ok place to dine with family. Stingy with the salad bar. Ribs are ok, not that bad, but no where near being good. Have dined here numerous times since we have a condo nearby

There was an article in one of the local free newspapers regarding this restaurant. We decided to give it a try based on that article. Here's what we've learned. If you see one of those fluff pieces about a restaurant it would probably be wise to steer clear of it. They probably need business which wouldn't be an issue if the place was providing good food and service. They did neither. The burger was rubbery straight out of a bag of frozen round discs I suspect. The brisket was cold, greasy and, for the price a very small portion. Our order was incorrect but, rather than wait for a replacement side order we opted to just forget it. The salad bar that was so glowingly described in the newspaper was mediocre. Wet lettuce and the mindless assortment of no brainer items. The soups were horrendous. One thing is for sure. We will never dine there again.

Typical BBQ fare. Nothing special here as far as food goes or BBQ. At least the place was open. Service was fine but place was empty.

Note to management: Recall that your clientele is largely discerning Midwesterners that know their meat -- especially pork -- and they come to your establishment for your ribs, cold beer and no-frills dining. Do everyone a favor: Stop trying to have the waitstaff sell pina coladas and/or bottles of wine that contain the name "Fish", cut the menu to 1/3 its size and focus on plating a quality product offering -- like Porky's used to do. I've been coming to here for years and was a fan of the excellent baby back ribs and the quick, no-nonsense service. But my visit this Christmastime was so far off the mark that I must yelp! Put the visit in context: 5 of us arrived mid-week at 6pm, before the typical holiday week throng arrived (the restaurant was less 1/3 full when we sat and ordered). 'Shouldn't be any problems getting in-and-out with another pleasing meal... Right? Not to be... Our waiter was stretched to handle the three active tables in his zone when we ordered, and when the place filled up before we were finished, he was completely unable to effectively take orders OR handle the checks... But that's a service issue which can be corrected. We noted a significant drop-off in the quality of the food offering: Three of us ordered rib baskets that are supposed to 1/2 rack of ribs and two sides. All of us received about 1/3 of a rack -- I received only 5 rib bones on my plate! My son's kids meal had more 'stuff' on the plate! Further, we weren't given the usual full complement of their sauce offering. Lastly, the table next to us needed to send back a hamburger because it was "really bad"... (I didn't have the heart to ask why...) PERHAPS MOST CONCERNING, however, was the following crack in the armour: the place had "run out of moist towelettes!!" What kind of rib joint runs out of that necessary commodity?! This, along with the aforementioned issues indicates a far more serious situation exists. Management has lost focus. The impact is starting to be felt on the business: cutting portions, not offering condiments and necessities and trying to sell overpriced drinks is proof. Which is too bad, because this formerly-solid standby appears to be losing its luster with many. It will be hard to return unless I see and hear other "good" Yelps between now and my next visit to Florida.

Step back in time to a simple family diner with a laid back, easy going atmosphere and you've arrived at Porky's. The place was packed with locals and we decided to venture out for some BBQ. We weren't disappointed. Fried oysters, baby back ribs, brisket, BBQ chicken. A variety of sauces and a well stocked salad bar and soup. All for around $19 each. Very good food and there was even a band playing in the bar. The diner could use an intervention from Chef Ramsey but only cosmetic changes. The food was just fine.

Placed a carry-out order that ended up being incorrect, plus three meals were never placed in our carry-out bag (which was not noticed until we got home). We ended up with six sweet potatoes and three orders of regular fries instead of five orders of sweet potato fries. When I went back to retrieve the forgotten items, I was told we hadn't paid for one of the missing sandwiches. The rude hostess then asked if we wanted to pay for that sandwich. I grudgingly obliged, because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of asking them to comp it for all the rigamarole they had already put us through. The food was not good- baby back ribs were tough and overcooked, sweet potato fries were soggy, and baked beans tasted like vinegar-infused ketchup. Will not be ordering from them again.
